February 23, 2014 (Sunday) — Visit to Carol S. Vance Unit with David and Karen Shaw, 10 a.m.

February 26-28, 2014 (Wednesday-Friday) — Trip to Angola, Special trip for invited Texas Christian leaders and Pastors to go to Angola Penitentiary with Grove, to see the effects of the Seminary on “America’s Bloodiest Prison.”  It is the 17-year-old Angola Seminary we used as our model for the first Texas Seminary in a Maximum Security Prison, located in Darrington Penitentiary, Rosharon, Texas.

MARCH, 2014

March 6, 2014 (Thursday) — Visit to Darrington to meet with the Seminary Men and for interviews with Houston Chronicle veteran reporter Allan Turner

March 12, 2014 (Wednesday) — Lunch with Mr. John Painter, leader in Houston area Rotary, to discuss the Darrington Seminary building project

March 13-16 (Thursday-Sunday) — Grove and Brenna head to Knippa to work on various administrative items as well as for Grove to speak at the Concan Baptist Mission in Concan, Texas

March 15, 2014 (Saturday) — Front page article about the Foundation released in the Houston Chronicle!  “Following path to faith while still behind bars:  Seminary gives inmates chance to earn degrees, help chaplains” by Alan Turner

March 16, 2014 (Sunday) — Speak at Concan Baptist Mission, dear friends and church family at the Concan Baptist Mission, specifically Brother John Wade and his wife Glenda, have invited Grove to share the story of The Heart of Texas Foundation with their church

June 5, 2014 (Thursday) — Texas Department of Criminal Justice Board Meeting, Austin, TX

June 8, 2014 (Sunday) — Introduction of Malachi Dads to Texas! We will attend the first Malachi Dads course begins in Texas at the Coffield Unit in Tennessee Colony — the largest men’s maximum security unit in Texas. Volunteer Chaplain Bobby Collins and Chaplain Dan Rose have bravely and faithfully done the work to make this dream a reality in the Coffield Unit.

June 10, 2014 (Tuesday) — Transfer of 1,000 Donated Books from Office in Houston to Storage for processing to the Darrington Seminary Library

June 28, 2014 (Saturday) — Informal Interview of Sara Oussar as possible grant writer for The Heart of Texas Foundation at the recommendation of Capital Campaign Co-Charimen, Pat King and David Shaw

June 28-July 6 (Saturday-Sunday) — Trip to Knippa, TX where Grove will work on multiple administrative items, especially writing and sending the quarterly report to covenant partners, as well as, producing the next newsletter. We will visit and worship with ministry supporters and church family of the Concan Baptist Mission in Concan, TX.

JULY, 2014

July 11, 2014 (Friday) — First Ever Training of the Darrington Unit’s Class of New Employees about the Darrington Seminary, this will become a regular part of Grove’s work to every new class of employees at the Darrington Unit as long as we are permitted to do so.  Telling Darrington Unit New Employees of the how the Darrington Seminary was birthed and its purpose helps new guards understand they are part of something historic at the Darrington Unit.

July 17, 2014 (Thursday) — Visit to Darrington with members of Lakewood Church who are interested in the Lord’s work at Darrington
